The time is now to lift voices, to challenge the messages that keep us muted, to demand space for every story that has been pushed aside. My mission is to channel rage into expression, to turn fear into action, to help others reclaim their power. Perhaps I can’t change the world, but I can hold space. I can shine a light. And that is enough to start.

Over the past 6 months, I’ve been working on building a body of work (yes, you are reading a piece of it right now), but it got me thinking about what I wanted to leave behind in 2025 versus what I wanted to usher into the New Year. Because not everything can come with us.

After 13 years of working for brands and agencies, I found myself at a place I never thought I would. I no longer knew my own voice. I had lent pieces of it to people, places, and products all over the world. I had molded it, shaped it, melted it down to make it fit into containers that were never really quite the right fit. Somewhere along the way, while I was building voices from scratch for brands, I forgot what my own voice sounded like. I had lost it. And I honestly didn’t even know where to look.

So, how do I deal with this visibility conundrum, the desire to go deep with my connections, while battling with my innate desire to remain mysterious?

I take baby steps—within my window of tolerance.

When it comes to your creative work, waiting for perfection doesn’t push you forward. And if you spend too much time chipping away at it, making those tiny little tweaks, trying to sculpt your creation into a masterpiece before you send it out into the world, you might get stuck there forever.
