DAY 3:

THE RAGE

This one is going to be a little spicy, so take your time with it.

After the audio:

Head back to the email and I’ll walk you through some release work.

Journaling prompts

What are you really fucking angry about? Don't filter it. Write it down.

Now give that rage a name or a shape. A person, a system, a voice in your head — whatever it is that has been silencing you or holding you back.

Now write it a letter. Say the things you've never let yourself say out loud. Everything you've been censoring to make things feel safer and softer. Call it names, curse at it, be vulgar. Go for the jugular.

No one will ever see this. This page is yours.

Ritual: Release

You've said what needed to be said. Now let it go.

Take your letter and, if you can safely burn it, burn it. Watch it go. (If you can’t burn it then just rip it up. Throw it out.)

Now stand up. And shake. Start with your hands, move to your arms, your shoulders, your whole body. Let it be ugly and uncoordinated. Shake for 2 minutes, or longer if you need it. Shake it all out. Let out a yell or scream into a pillow if that feels good.

This is your nervous system completing what the rage started. Let it move through you and out of you.
